Beauty Myth DEBUNKED! - Myth #1 You Have to Use the Entire Line For a Product to Work
So I'm sure you've all read on the back of your deep conditioner or facial cleanser or just your beauty products in general that to experience the best results with this product you should use the entire line. Well I'm here to tell you that more than likely that is false, I have used a ton of beauty products. Some with the entire system and some without and I must tell you that either it didn't make a difference in the way the product worked or it actually worked better in conjunction with another product. A good example would be the Organix Morrocan Argan Oil line, I have tried the blowout cream, the shampoo and conditioner, the intensive moisture treatment, and the deep penetrating oil for coarse and dry hair. I eventually tried the products alone with another shampoo and conditioner and discovered the only products that I truly liked out of this line is the intensive moisture treatment and the deep penetrating oil. I realized the shampoo just dried my hair out and the blow out cream weighed it down and made it feel coated. Now I'm not saying that every beauty product is like this because I am sure that there are some that you must use the entire system in order for them to work properly but in my case I have yet to come across a product like this. So the next time you come across a hair treatment that you want to try and you don't want to buy the entire line or you just already have your go to shampoo and conditioner, don't worry. Chances are you just buying the hair treatment won't affect the results in a negative way. This is on a semi separate note but one thing that shouldn't be mixed is gel nail systems, also called cocktailing. This is just about the only beauty related thing I can think of that shouldn't be mixed.
