Hey everyone! This is my first time doing a favorites post, this will be my beauty favorites but I also did a non beauty favorites post which I will link below
Dove Nourishing Oil Care Shampoo and Conditioner - If any of you have read some of my previous post you know that I do not like shampoos with sulfate but I do have a few exceptions and this is one of them! I recently rediscovered this when I was doing a co-wash and I needed a little something more so I reached for this shampoo and I realized this didn't make my hair feel dry. To make it even better for my hair I decided to mix the half bottle of shampoo with half water, love it! Plus this stuff smells amazing and I do think it helps with frizz a bit. $6.99 each for 25.4 fl oz at Walgreens
One 'n Only Argan Oil Hydrating Mask - this mask is amazing I traded this mask for a little while in favor of the entire Organix Moroccan argan oil collection but one night I was trying a cleansing conditioner (Hair One for dry hair from Sally's beauty supply) that did not have a deep conditioner in the line. I fell in love with this all over again, this leaves my hair so soft and it smells soooo good! My Mom even commented on the fragrance, I leave this on my hair for about an hour but the packaging says to leave it on for 5 minutes. Since I have super dry hair the longer the better. 9.99 or 8.99 with a Sally's card for 8 oz. at Sally's beauty supply
Dove Nourishing Oil Hair Care Detangler - This hair detangler goes along with the Dove shampoo and conditioner that I mentioned above, When I first got it I didn't realize it was a two part spray but I thought I would at least give it a try. I think this is a great product, I don't have problems with detangling my hair because I detangle my hair the entire I am washing it with my detangling comb. It doesn't give my hair any outstanding sheen but it does leave it soft, before flat ironing my hair I apply my heat protectant (IC Hair Polisher Heat Protector Straightening Serum) then I mist my hair with this and I love the results. For those looking for a little more sheen I would say get a an oil mist, I would suggest Isoplus Oil Sheen Hairspray, the Isoplus hairspray is $4.39 at Sally's Beauty Supply or $4.29 with a Sally's card. $3.94 at Target for 6.1 oz.
Conair Style and Detangle Comb - I love this comb!!! I used to just use a big tooth comb to dentagle my hair in the shower but I find that this one works so much better for me than the the regular bug tooth comb. I think it it is the dual set of teeth but it detangle my hair so easily without the feeling of tugging, I use this after rinsing out my shampoo before putting in my conditioner then I use this to comb my conditioner through, I also use this while I am washing out my conditioner. I just love this thing! I'm pretty sure this was $3.84 for 6.1 oz. at Wal-Mart
Mixture of Proclaim Coconut Oil Hair and Scalp Conditioner and Jamaican black castor oil - I found out about Jamaican black castor oil through one of my cousins, I don't know if it has any other uses but I know it used for to increase hair growth and to thicken hair. I know for sure it works to make the hair thicker, which is something I do not need, I put this is my hair one time before trying to blow dry it, I looked like I was in a fight! I do think it helps to lengthen hair too, I just started using it regularly about a month ago, I didn't like the feeling or the smell of it so I decided to mix it some of Proclaim coconut hair and scalp conditioner. I just got one of those containers used to store beads at the craft store and scooped out a bit of the coconut oil and packed it into on of the slots the I poured at bit of the Jamaican black castor oil over and mixed it with the pointy end of a rat tail comb.
This is pretty thick so I only use this once every 2 or 3 days, I wouldn't recommend this for someone with oily hair but if you have oily hair and you want to try this I would suggest using this only once a week or once every time you wash your hair. $3.49 for 12 oz. for the coconut scalp and hair conditioner at Sally's beauty supply or $3.29 with a Sally's card. Jamaican black castor oil, prices vary on amazon.com
e.l.f. baked blush in pinktastic - The name of this product is a little deceiving, this is actually a highlighter not a blush. If you guys had seen me trying to use this for the first time you probably would've had a great laugh, I tried using it dry first, then wet and by the end of trying to use this like bluseh I looked someone had taken light gold paint and put it on my face, so funny! The next day I realized it was a highlighter and not a blush after watching a video on YouTube. I love this as a highlighter, it is a beautiful light gold color with just a hint of pink and it looks incredibly natural. $3.00 on eyeslipsface.com
NYX blush in cinnamon - I first saw this blush in Jen frmheadtotoe's fox costume video on YouTube and it was love at first sight, a week later I went to Ulta and picked it up and I love it! This has been my go to blush for most of May, it is just so pretty. $5.99 at Ulta
I really hope you guys enjoyed this and can you please tell me if you like these kinds of post and if you do, do you like them to be in depth like this one or do you just want me to list my favorites without all of the extra details?
Thank you for reading and be beautiful! *^_^*
